Meet Dr. Lezley McIlveen (Dr. Mac)
I have had the privilege to be part of the Herndon community since 1996 when I established my own practice. Caring for children has always been a passion of mine. Becoming a pediatric dentist has given me the opportunity to make a difference in each child’s life - one smile at a time. Over the years I have been incredibly fortunate to work with many unique and wonderful people, who have enriched my life. I especially enjoy watching my patients grow up in my practice, while giving them a beautiful smile and the confidence to care and maintain their teeth for a lifetime.

Meet Dr. Philip Vahab - Orthodontist
Dr. Philip Vahab will tell you that he LOVES being an orthodontist. The best part of his job is utilizing the latest technology to give kids, teens and adults sparkling new smiles.
In today's world, where the Doctor-Patient relationship has become increasingly rushed, Dr. Vahab has made it a personal goal to give all of his patients his undivided attention at each appointment. To ensure that all of his patients feel taken care of, Dr. Vahab is committed to being available to answer patient questions by e-mail, text or cell phone, evenings, nights and weekends.
Born in the suburbs of New York City, Dr. Vahab earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1998 from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduation, he began a career in molecular genetics working at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories in New York. Dr. Vahab then started a PhD in Plant Cell and Molecular Biology at Cornell University.
Dr. Vahab obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. In order to limit his practice to the specialty of orthodontics, he then completed a three year residency at the University of Maryland. In conjunction with his orthodontic residency, Dr. Vahab obtained a Masters of Science in Oral Biology.
Dr. Vahab and his wife Lana, who works as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, live in the D.C. Metropolitan area with their fuzzy little mutt Pamuk, who Dr. Vahab recently rescued from Turkey. For fun, Dr. Vahab and his wife enjoy riding around D.C. on their vintage tandem bicycle or hiking along the Potomac River. You may have seen Dr. Vahab on the front page of the Washington Post this past September highlighting the first ever Little Free Library book exchange for the District of Columbia, which Dr. Vahab established in his neighborhood. Tending to his neighborhood Little Free Library is Dr. Vahab's most recent hobby.
